If you’re seeing missing samples, graphics, or GUI elements when loading one of our Kontakt instruments, don’t worry — this is a common issue and easy to fix!
This usually happens when files or folders are moved, renamed, or not kept in their original structure. When this happens, Kontakt can no longer find the associated files, like .nki, sample content, or interface graphics.
We recommend not renaming or moving any files or folders inside your downloaded library unless absolutely necessary.
🔧 Solution: Use the "Batch Re-save" feature in Kontakt
Here’s how to fix the issue step-by-step:
-
Open Kontakt and select File > Batch re-save from the top menu.
-
A warning message will appear. Click Yes to continue.
-
Navigate to your downloaded Library folder (this is the folder that contains the .nki files, Samples, etc.) and click Choose.
-
Kontakt will scan the library. If any files are missing, a dialog will appear prompting you to locate them.
-
In this dialog, select the folder that contains your Samples (usually named "Samples"), then click Choose.
-
-
Kontakt will now relink all missing content and re-save the files with the correct paths.
After completing the above steps, your Kontakt instrument should load correctly with all samples and graphic elements in place. ✅
