Snapshots are a fast and easy way to load and save presets inside Native Instruments Kontakt. They allow you to switch between custom sounds without overwriting the original instrument settings.
๐๏ธ How to Use Snapshots with Karanyi Sounds Instruments
If your plugin comes with Snapshots, follow these steps:
1. Extract the Snapshot files
Unzip the downloaded folder and locate the โSnapshotsโ folder inside.
2. Place the files in the correct location
Move the Snapshot files to:
๐น Important: The folder name must exactly match the .nki filename of the instrument (e.g. Polyscape.nki โ Polyscape folder).
3. Open Kontakt
Launch Kontakt (Player or Full version) and load the instrument.
4. Access Snapshot view
Click the camera icon in the instrumentโs top bar.
5. Load a Snapshot
Click the arrow icon next to the preset name and select your desired Snapshot from the dropdown.
6. (Optional) Save your own Snapshot
Click the floppy disk icon, name your preset, and hit Save. This will store your own custom version.
